Find Store Near U Inc. makes public this privacy policy to let you know how your information is collected, protected and used.

1. How our system works

The use of our system is absolutely FREE for both the shoppers and the store owners.

When shoppers make queries on our website to find stores and businesses in their neighborhood, search results are ordered in ascending order in terms of distance from where they live i.e from closest to furthest. When shoppers choose to communicate with store owners, they can either call them, visit their website or email them. If shoppers choose to communicate by email, we conceal their email address as well as the store owner's . Then we send an already formatted message to store owners with only the name and phone number of the customer. The store owner can then contact the customer by phone if and when he/ she wants to.

Our system is conceived to insure a strict email privacy. In order to try to prevent scam, we require that store owners post their contact person's picture so that customers have an idea about the person they are dealing with. We encourage dealings by phone and meeting face to face for the same purpose.

We collect your email address only for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, verifying your login credentials, communicating with you with regard to your FREE account, providing optional subscription to email notifications about new products etc.

Because we observe a strict "Zero Tolerance Policy" regarding spamming, we conceal the sender's and receiver's email addresses when users use our email system to communicate with each other. We relay your message and anonymize your email address to reduce third party harvesting and spam.

2. Security

Our web site has security measures in place to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of your information. We use a secure 128 bit SSL encryption to protect your personal information. You can update your information at any time by logging into your private administrative panel.

iii.Shoppers

We do hide your email address and only show the information you alone have decided to make public i.e your full name and phone number.
We contact you by email if the products you registered to be notified about are available.
When a new business or store in your neighborhood registers, we notify you by email if you have set your email notification permission to "yes".
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
You can update your information and modify your email notification preferences at any time by logging into your private administrative panel.

4. Data we store

We may collect personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments, or if you contact us directly. Please do not post any personal information on our website that you expect to keep private.

When you register, we also collect your IP address, date and timestamp in order to deal with eventual spamming issues and better manage entries in our records.

Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served. Web logs help us to diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website, and to otherwise provide our service to you.

All listings and registrations are stored in our database, even after deletion, and may be archived elsewhere. Our web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
